Master of Education in Instructional LeadershipUW campus

Leading from the side What's new
The University of Washington College of Education is pleased to offer the Master of Education in Instructional Leadership (MIL), a unique degree program to prepare teachers who hold or aspire to leadership positions in their schools or school districts. These teacher leaders find rich rewards supporting their teaching peers as they work to brighten the educational futures of all students in their school.

The MIL program addresses the challenges common to all teacher leaders, while providing an understanding of the variations in emerging leadership and coaching roles within the school or district setting. The curriculum blends theory and practice, drawing on the expertise of UW College of Education faculty as well as knowledgeable local experts. The program's flexible schedule will allow you to finish your degree in two years or less, even if you continue to teach full time.
